# Pixel Grid Transform > Flip, rotate or shift an indexed pixel sprite without blur. Enter a compact pixel grid and HEX palette. Transform it with exact integer coordinates, optional wrapping and transparent pixels, then download an editable Flipline Pixel Studio project. Part of usefulweb.app (https://usefulweb.app/). Results are deterministic calculations from the inputs and the listed assumptions; the API returns exactly what the web page shows. ## Use it - Human interface: https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/ (interactive tool at https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/tool) - JSON API: POST https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/api/v1/calculate with a JSON object of inputs (schema: https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/api/v1/tool) - OpenAPI: https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/openapi.json - MCP (Streamable HTTP): https://fliplinepixeltransform.usefulweb.app/mcp - tool `flipline_pixel_transform` ## Inputs - rows (textarea): Pixel rows (. = transparent; 1–9 then A–W = palette entries) - palette (text): HEX palette (comma separated) - operation (select): Operation - dx (integer): Shift X (pixels) - dy (integer): Shift Y (pixels) - wrap (boolean): Wrap shifted pixels ## Method - Grid index 0 is transparent; 1–9 and A–W refer to palette entries 1–32. Rows must have equal width, at most 128 pixels per side. - Rotation is clockwise and swaps width and height. Shift clips outside pixels or wraps them to the opposite edge. No interpolation or color changes. - The same transform powers Pixel Studio. Open the downloaded .flipline-pixels.json file with the main Open button or Open sprite.
